Cups in bathroom had hairs on them.
Bed was very comfortable and I slept well but cleaners need to pay attention.
The rooms are indeed small, but spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The location is perfect — strategically situated within a 20-minute walk of most major downtown attractions.
The personnel are amazing, even if you don’t know French or Dutch, they are able to explain everything perfectly with all required information in English.
The rooms are small, but they have all the necessary stuff, such as towels, hangers, table and TV. About the bathroom I can say the same, shower, hair and body wash, and hairdryer were free to use.
The only reason, I wouldn’t rate this place as a 5 star hotel is WiFi, a big amount of networks, I have noticed around 5-6, but in none of them the internet was fast, so be ready to use your own mobile data.
Price and quality wise this is a quite alright hotel. My only issue during my stay was the lack of cleaning in my room. There were feet stains on the wall, cob webs in the bathroom and questionable stains on the bathroom floor.
They have a 24h receptionist and it was my first experience with how a 24h receptionist works so let me warn you that they will be very suspicious if you invite someone up to your room to just hang a bit late at night. Even if it’s just a quick visit, they will interrogate. I understand that they were just doing their job and wanted to make sure that you don’t have non paying guests sleeping over (wink wink). So keep that in mind with 24h receptionists and that this hotel will make a late night visit awkward.
Talking about receptionists, all of them were unapproachable and cold. Some improvement is highly recommended.
The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing. I usually savor the simple hotel breakfast buffet for an hour but their buffet wasn’t doing it for me. They had all the usuals. As someone with a thing for English Breakfast, it was personally disappointing that there was eggs, sausage, bacon but no beans (I cried on the inside).
Overall this is an okay hotel. Would I book a room here again? Possibly, but it wouldn’t be my first choice
